Can't Connect XBMC on 1 PC to the next. Help!
#1
Got 2 PC's
Main PC is called 'Oblivion' and it contains the media files.
Second PC is called 'Thanos' and its the happy HTPC running XBMC

Both PC's are on Vista and Thanos can access all of Oblivion's 'shared' files while in Windows. However when Thanos is in XBMC, it simply can not get it to see any of Oblivion's shared folders.

The network is behind a router, so I've tried using the DNS IP and got no luck. I've also tried the IP of Oblivion and again no luck.

At this point I have no idea what to do.

On a side note..... Thanos does have net access since it can see weather info.

Help please !!!

I'm not sure what version of windows you are running, but this should be fine:

In my computer, go to Tools > Map Network Drive
Choose a drive letter (any will do)
Then choose a folder on your network with the media in it.
Click finish

Then in xbmc add that drive letter as a source.
