Superb mod. Is there anyway you could do music genre like you have movie genre? That would be just top.

Of course I can make a default one.. Any particular look you would have in mind?? (Spontaneously I thought of one without any silhouette at all, just the grey-black texture.. or maybe one with just a question-mark.. thought that would break the visual consistency a little..)

Also, since we're discussing future improvements, have you thought about hiding the icons that are already in the code? (I noticed that code-wise their visibility is still true, which is unnecessary rendering as far the XBMC goes)

i did not hide the icons as if some one had a genre what was not in the set they would see the one in the backround, but on the next update for this mod with your new default as the fallback image i will be hiding them

Awesome..! I'm actually starting to think now though, that I would make a couple of different fallback ones.. Why limit users to just one, when they can select which ever they personally prefer, though I'll be sticking with the textured one..

(I'll get right on this later today as I need to update the Poster-Pack again anyway..)

Just wondering. What about using the thumb of one of the movies of your library as the genre image. Say Sci-Fi: you have Star Trek and Star Wars. So Star Trek thumb is used as the Sci-fi genre image. Or maybe picking a random movie from that genre.

I don't know if that's even possible or interesting. Just an idea.

you could set up folders like with Weather Conditions Backdrops for dfferent genre and mod the code a bit to get random movie covers for genres.

what would be cood is if we could use animated images...

download for testing Movie Genre Posters mod for all 4 views but no fallback image working yet as the way i was going to do it does not work, so if you do not have a image for a genre you will just get a empty space but other then that it should all be working
