hi,

i'd love to be able to play a video on xbmc, but listen to the audio from "my music", e.g. a music playlist or similar.

it'd be very handy for parties - i would have the audio playing, but a nice looped video of a fish tank or a log fire, or something like that!

is this possible?

ummmm...just use simple movie editing software to join video with mp3 music? not really hard to do at all! of course, not sure how to solve a "looping" issue (as for looping the whole video on xbmc)?

i think what carlosp_uk was getting at is that random music (or tracks from specified playlists) would play at the same time as a video in a constant loop. it would get very big (not to mention take a long time) to make a video loop to the sound of 5 hours of music.
