In my "TV Shows" library i get the number 1601 over the description of Every episode where the episode title should be.
What does this mean and how do i get the episode title back?
Also, when i show TV-Shows by year, there is a year: 1601, with no shows in it.

I've always had a year 1601 in my library, going back to my Xbox days (I would say at least 2+ years). I have no idea how it got there and I can't get rid of it. A complete database nuke doesn't matter because it comes back on a new scan.
It's never effected the title or anything else in the library though so I don't know what is going on with that. |

Yeah, the 1601 year isn't that annoying, but the 1601 as a title of every episode is more annoying.

No 1601 problems here. Is there a way to reproduce it in a simple way?

I remember this issue. Although I cannot remember the details, I am pretty sure it was fixed a while back. Is this a regression?
Searching for 1601 on the forum yielded some results, users (including myself) having this or similar issues, my cursory search did not find any explanation or confirmation of a fix from a dev. (But I distinctively remember getting an explanation on the root cause, advancing age has removed that from the databanks though) Always read the XBMC online-manual, FAQ and search the forum before posting. Hi,
I get this issue everytime I have a TV show in swedish, e.g. "Trollkarlens hemligheter" to be found at http://thetvdb.com/?tab=series&id=84597&lid=8. 1601 will then be the name of the show until I edit it manually. It seems that if the show is set as swedish at theTVDB, the name is not parsed correctly. Asus motherboard Intel Core 2 Duo @ 2.66 GHz Nvidia 8600GT graphics card 2 GB RAM Win 7 32bit |

Fetching 'Trollkarlens hemligheter' with lang sv selected is working fine here. Tested with first three dummy episodes from season one.
So there must be something else which causes the '1601 bug'. You are able to provide a debug log made with a fresh library which is causing this issue? I changed the thread title to something slightly more useful. Please take time to be a little more descriptive in the future, it will help the community in the long run.

I don't know how to reproduce it, but i have had this as the Episode title (not show title) of all episodes in all series in very many versions of xbmc now. I wand to avoid deleting the database also.

You don't need to nuke it completely, just move it to another place and start a new one. We need a proper way to reproduce this issue in order to fix it.
