Working QuickTime Audio

okay, did some more quick testing.

here is what i have found.

the vcd/svcd that are 25 fps are the ones that show this behaviour.

on top of that, if i try to stop the movie, xbmc hangs.. have to reset.

hope that helps the porting.

guybrush, sure is working fine with quicktime audio

there may be an issue when you stop the video (only tested mpeg2), but i cannot say for certain yet.

1. unpausing a quicktime stream (and leaving it paused for long time) then restarting it, seemed to crash xbmc

2. not possible to jump (skip) even in local quicktime files?

1. weird bug, ill check if i can reproduce it.
2. this is not really a bug but its the way xbmc implemented skipping, xbmc skips using percentages of 10, in mplayer it skips using seconds.
because mplayer doesnt have routines to get the duration and  progress percentage of quicktime movies (yet) it doesnt work.

i have fixed the demuxing of quicktime movies in mplayer, so that its possible to get the duration and percentage of a qt movie, and im now able to skip in qt movies. (these changes are all in mplayer's code, maybe i should submit the patch to mplayer.hq Smile)

offtopic:
guybrush, do you perhaps have some time to checkout the mplayer sources for the ff/rw for mpg/avi? if that gets fixed it would rock Smile
and mp3 is fucked too Sad

afaik ff works at 2x and 4x but 8x and 16x has been broken since pre-04 was implemented.

it doesn't work with your new pre05 version either.

is the xbmc mplayer code before pre4 was implemented available?, then i can maybe check which change caused it not to work.
(it seems it only doesnt work with avi/divx files, mpg/qt i can ffwd properly)

@pike: grab my latest mplayer.dll which will allow you to skip in qt movies.
also i cant seem to reproduce it, maybe its stream related.
