I just upgraded to 19978 and I noticed an reproducible problem when crossfade is enabled. I start a playlist and after a few secs I skip to the next song. The audio cuts out, the song playback freezes and sometimes XBMC locks up.
Disabling crossfade 'fixes' the issue.
