XBMC 12 Frodo - Beta 3 - XBMCbuntu installation to hard disk / fonts too large
#1
I want to install XBMC Frodo B3 on my PC. It boots just fine from the live cd (burned from xbmcbuntu-12.00-beta3.Intel-NVIDIA.iso) and after some booting time, the selection screen where I can select to "run XBMCbuntu" or "install on local drive" appears. When I choose the install option, the fonts and window sizes in the following screens are so large that they are out of screen and I can neither read nor click them.

Thanks in advance for any ideas how to solve this.

Welcome to the XBMC forums.

This thread was for XBMC Eden, but it may be applicable for Frodo as well? http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=126453

Thanks for the help and the welcome Smile I managed to install it now using the solution provided in the referenced thread (Press Enter during Live-CD startup, select "Install with fixed DPI (120x120).

However, I still have those huge fonts in XBMCbuntu. I tried manually editing the /etc/X11/xorg.conf file, but this lead to the result that the GUI did not start up at all... Any ideas how to set fixed DPI here?
