After the xbmc boot screen i can see the blue windows "welcome" screen for about 2 sec. Is there a way to disable it?

And what about the blue exit screen when I shut windows down?

Getting rid of the "Loading settings" Popup screens

* The following will hide the dialog box that appears that the beggining of Windows startup informing you that the system is "Loading Settings".

To do this,follow these steps:

1. Go to, Start Menu -> Run and enter regedit
2. Navigate to entry:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>Software>Microsoft>Windows>CurrentVersion>Policies>System

3. If there is an entry for "DisableStatusMessages" set it to 1 (the digit one)

* If there is no entry, right-mouse click the "System" word, and select New->DWORD value, and enter "DisableStatusMessages", right-mouse to edit the value of it, and enter 1 (the digit one).

You can also boot into safe mode, start bootskin and select the default bootskin (i.e. disabling it).

Do some people get it to work properly when using winXP?

They have other versions to download on the website. Might give those a try. Will report back.

I tried the 1.02 and 1.03 versions from their website (as well as the latest, 1.05), same result
