Layout for Slim seems to have been removed for TV Shows.
As for the overlapping it's probably your NFO files causing the problem.

Check the NFO files that it happens on and you'll find odd characters that cause the problem.

If you enable it for Movies it then works for TV Shows.

How do I do that? When using List View in Movies, I can switch between full and slim, but it doesn't stay for TV Shows. I've tried switching Movies to Slim, staying in the List view for Movies, going back to TV Shows, and it's still full (with no option to make it slim).
I've also looked through the Settings (albeit briefly), and I couldn't find anything.

Strange I can't change it back the Slim now.
I'll have a look at adding the Full/Slim button to the settings bar later today.

Well I got the button back for TV Shows easily enough but it doesn't do anything so I'll have to dig deeper when I've got more time (Plants vs. Zombies is too damn addictive).

"Clear personal settings" did the thing for me - now the menu item is back and working. And strangely enough I didn't notice any other setting that was reset...
