I am on Aeon auriga.

This is how is have done it.

External HDD - Folder (TV Shows) - Friends - Season 1 - Under season one (friends S01E01.avi, friends S01E02 and so on) .

I go to Videos and select friends Season 1 and do a set content and then select TVDB it scans for a second and then nothing. I go to Tv shows in main menu and the shows are not there (the library is empty)

What am I doing wrong here.

This is a general XBMC question and not Aeon specific, so should be posted another place.

However, to solve your problem use "set content" on your tv root folder "TV Shows", not the show or season folder.
