I have true blood season one and wanted to add to my tv show library. (this is my first time trying to do TV SHOWS) So far I have done the below however I get an error message in MIP stating "no show data exists for the following shows: true blood season 1"

Added XBMC source in Video E:TV Shows
Set the content to scan TVDB

I have my files structured as below

E:
---TV Shows
------True Blood Season 1(folder)
--------True.Blood.s01e01
-----------True.blood.s01e02
--------------etc...etc..

XBMC doesnt scan or MIP does pickup the folder either.

I have each show in a main folder for the show and then an individual folder for each tv show and naming the file with moviename.sXXeXX

what am I doing wrong that MIP doesnt pick up to scan the fanart and banner and also XBMC does pickup to scan it either.

I also have made a nfo file from nfo creater with basic information and put it in the main show folder Trueblood Season 1. can someone post a nfo file and what information is needed in it.

This is my nfo for Trueblood Season 1 - I use XBMC media companion so your milage may vary

Code:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<tvshow xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">
  <title>True Blood</title>
  <rating>7.9</rating>

<plot>Thanks largely in part to the creation of a Japanese-made synthetic blood called True Blood (where the series takes it name) vampires have made their existence known to the world.  The series follows Sookie Stackhouse, a telepathic barmaid who finds comfort in the company of vampires since they have no brainwave activity for her to read. She and her brother Jason were raised by her grandmother after losing their parents in a flood and she tries to keep her telepathic ability a secret.</plot>

Try changing your folder layout to this....

E:
---TV Shows
------True Blood(folder)
--------Season 1(folder)
-----------True.Blood.s01e01
-----------True.blood.s01e02
--------------etc...etc..

This way i have never had a problem with MIP or XBMC scraping

XBMC ignores season folders anyway so I just keep everything in the main show folder.

ie

G:\TV Shows\24\tvshow.nfo
G:\TV Shows\24\fanart.jpg
G:\TV Shows\24\poster.jpg
G:\TV Shows\24\folder.jpg
G:\TV Shows\24\s01e01.avi
G:\TV Shows\24\s01e01.nfo
G:\TV Shows\24\s01e01.tbn

G:\TV Shows\24\s01e01.tbn

what about when there are more seasons?? should I put them in different season folders? Also if I have different seasons how do I get a folder.jpg and poster.jpg for that season 2,3.etc.. or does it just use the same one?

ok xbmc is picking up the nfo file that I put in it as well as the poster and fanart. so thats a step in the right direction.

It however shows 0 episodes for some reason. Also it looks like Im in file mode. how do I go to library mode so that the banners show up?

Did not realize this, although i'm a bit anal, I think my head would explode for shows like stargate, simpsons, if all the shows were in one folder :p
(1323 files for simpsons with avi, nfo and tbn)

From the manual:
You can have different seasons in different season subfolders under the individual TV Show folders if it suits you. XBMC does not use them, but they do not cause issues either.
Always read the XBMC online-manual, FAQ and search the forum before posting.
Do not e-mail XBMC-Team members directly asking for support. Read/follow the forum rules.
For troubleshooting and bug reporting please make sure you read this first.

...
G:\TV Shows\24\s02e01.avi
G:\TV Shows\24\s02e01.nfo

and if you want season images -

G:\TV Shows\24\season01.tbn
G:\TV Shows\24\season02.tbn
G:\TV Shows\24\season03.tbn

I also have season folders... poster & fanart for every show in the fullscreen video info is working. XBMC get's every fanart.jpg from the season folders and puts it in userdata/thumbnails/fanart but fanart is not displayed in season & episode view. I have also fanart.jpg in the main season folder but that's also not displayed in season and episode view... is there something wrong with Aeon or is it XBMC that doesn't support it?
