While listening to music during a slideshow of pictures, the music does
not continue after the slideshow is showing a short video clip which is
also stored in the same folder as the pictures.
Expected result:
When during a slideshow WITH music of pictures and video clips, a small
clip is played, the music should continue when the clip stops.

It's not a bug, it's the current functionality. The music player and the video (with sound) player both would fight for the same audio output channel. Kodi does not have a mixer onboard for those situations.

Hi there,
Not sure if you get what I mean. The music should indeed stop when a movie clip starts, however, the music should CONTINUE in case the clip stops.
I understand that music and video use the same audio channel.
In this particular case we have two tracks:
1. Picture slideshow with occasionally a clip from the same folder
2. Accompanying music with the slideshow

The music should just be paused for the moment the clip is being played and continue after the clip. All this in the picture slideshow.
