I cant seem to find any seeking bar where i can manually step to positions in a video file. Is there no such thing in XBMC? Is there any plug-ins for this?

There's no "drag the bar with the mouse to seek" feature in XBMC. You can do small and large seeks with right/left and up/down arrows respectively.
