librtmp is only used for playing rtmp links. It does not affect anything else.

I didn't see this post a few hours ago, so I spent my Friday night building it. I used a slightly different method, please see if this works for you.

http://signedint.com/misc/librtmp-2.4/librtmp.so

Download that file. Make sure it has the right permissions: chmod 755 librtmp.so
Remove the file you placed in XBMC.App/Contents/Frameworks.
Place my librtmp.so in XBMC.App/Contents/Resources/XBMC/system/librtmp.so
============

can you have one for me ?

Having some audio/video codec issues with 0.2.8 and using password function.

Most streams work but the ones with the passwords don't.

The stream works fine on my PC.

Hi matbor, there's nothing I can do about the codec issue from the add-on. A lot of broadcasters are using Xsplit broadcast software and the default audio codec (speex) isn't supported by XBMC / ffmpeg. You might ask the broadcaster if they could change the audio codec Confused. I didn't see anything in your log that looked like a password issue, just unsupported codec. You will see something like this in the media data with the xsplit issue.

Code:
17:39:24 T:134176768  NOTICE:   audiocodecid          11.00
17:39:24 T:134176768  NOTICE:   audiodatarate         27.15
17:39:24 T:134176768  NOTICE:   bufferSize            700k
17:39:24 T:134176768  NOTICE:   maxBitrate            700k
17:39:24 T:134176768  NOTICE:   xsplitBroadcasterVersion1.3.0.10

Maybe you could compile the latest git of RTMPDump yourself? http://rtmpdump.mplayerhq.hu/

That would generate the librtmp you need.

Hi everyone,

Im very new to xbmc and I am having trouble with this addon. It might be because I am using a Pandaboard (arm processor) which apparently cant play flash video (the youtube addon works fine though). But I really dont know what's going on.
Im hoping someone can take a look at my log files and tell me if there is a way to fix this or if Im simply out of luck.

What happens is that when i try to start a stream, i get a notice in the corner that says "User token error" and, sometimes, a pop-up that says "One or more items faild to play. Check the log files for details."

So here is my first log file: http://pastebin.com/Z4D2P6n7

I found this line "ERROR: Unable to load libbluray.so.1, reason: libbluray.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory", so i installed that libbluray-thing using synaptic and tried again. I still get the same messages in xbmc but the new log file doesnt have that libbluray-error: http://pastebin.com/kFwjRAJZ

I dont really understand the remaining errors but maybe some of you guys do Smile

Either way this is a great addon and it works fine in my xbmc-installation on my regular computer running Ubuntu.

I appreciate any help Smile

Could you replace addons/plugin.video.jtv.archives/default.py with this one -> http://ubuntuone.com/1wXFsi9Jc8WILpWdEGpbI6 then pastebin the log. I see now that I need to add more debug info to the log Confused
Reply
Using that default.py I do not find the stream and get the error "Script failed". Here is the log: http://pastebin.com/ftJUY8Xa

(Going back to the original default.py, i find the stream but cannot play it)

Also, I see your name on several of the addons Smile impressive Smile

Hi Dayman, you seem to be getting a URLError but, an error in my code was preventing us from being able to see what it was. Could you try again with this default.py -> http://ubuntuone.com/4FxgJwcYOfK6oo13Xgad2e

Edit: Also please turn on debug in the add-on settings.

Hi again, and thank you for taking the time Smile

That default.py gave the same error in xbmc "script failed" and the log file is here: http://pastebin.com/i5H23wej

I think I was able to turn on the debugging but i cant really tell :p
