Cannot connect to home network, pls help

Hello everyone,

I am kinda new to the whole modding/xbmc community. I have started to monitor the forums like crazy but cannot find a solution to my problem.

I have had XBMC with networking (internet connection) working perfectly for a long time now and I have recently started the original dashboard with the network cable connected, and then the whole system crashed; i had to reload the original Xbox dashboard to get it working again.

Now I can no longer access the internet with my XBMC/xbox. It detects my IP fine, but nothing works, not even my shared drives on my PC, or RSS feed.

Any ideas? i've tried everything but no luck.

What detects which IP fine? Every device in your network has it's own IP.

Is your console using static or automatic (DHCP) IP settings? Are your gateway/DNS settings correct? Is your PC able to ping the console?

The problem was the new version of XBMC. I just loaded an earlier release and it works again.
