Help with Auriga and home screen backdrops
#1
Hey guys,

I tried searching for this but couldn't find anything. I'm running Auriga and the backdrops don't work on the home screen, but they work in the individual screens (i.e. Movies, TV Shows, etc.). I didn't have this problem with Stark. Can anybody help me out?

Thx.

The solution is clear from that thread (and plenty of others): You must be running the latest SVN version of XBMC.

Babylon != latest.
Always read the XBMC online-manual, FAQ and search the forum before posting.
Do not e-mail XBMC-Team members directly asking for support. Read/follow the forum rules.

I just downloaded XBMC a couple hours ago, and I am still having this issue.

Version 9.04.1 (SVN - 20677M)

That is too old.

http://www.xbmcsvn.com has unofficial, nightly builds up.

Needs to be newer than 27837 (I think lol) for backdrops.

Revision is only part of it. It also needs to be taken from the main development branch (linuxport).

The problem with 9.04 or 9.04.1 or 9.04.1.repack or anything else with 9.04 in it, is that it's taken from the Babylon release branch which only receives fixes, not features.

Cheers,
Jonathan
