Request some help with a wide icon I made

I didn't really like any of the wide icons for the show "Stella" and decided to make my own. Problem is, I have zero photoshop skill. What I want to know is if anyone could sort of clean up this icon and make it look a bit more polished? Thanks.

EDIT: after uploading, I see that I must have slipped up somewhere and made it 139 pixels tall instead of 140. Fixing that would be great too.

Without source images it's gonna be more difficult than necessary to make it look right. Could you post your source images? even just the addresses to them.

That looks great, but would it be possible to make the charactors more prominent as they are in my original version? Sorry to be a pain in the ass.
