Hi,

I'm completely new to xbmc. I was looking for a solution to playback MP3 and Videos on my Hometheater System. All "standalone" Media Players do not fit for me. Now I have decided to use my "older" notebook and xbmc, and see how this works for me.

I have two questions right now.
I'm using my Laptop with Windows XP Pro (Sp3).
I installed latest xbmx 9.04.1 r20672

1. Question:
The Online Manual says, that Cover Art for MP3, with is stored in ID3 Tags are displayed in xbmc. All my MP3-Files are tagged with all Information required by xbmc. Each file contains the Album Cover in it's MP3 Tags, but xbmc does not show them.

To manage my MP3 Collection I use Helium Music Manager, which display the Covers correctly. So, maybe I did not setup xbmc in the correct way, but I can not find any settings resonding to my problem.

2. Question
My Laptop only has a headphone jack, and the sound qualitiy is not quite good, when I connect this to my Hometheater System.
So I'm looking for a USB Soundcard with a optical SPDIF Port.
Any suggestions for that?

Thanks for any help.

Thanks. With an updated imagelib.dll it works.
But it only works for MP3 files I add to the database after I updated the dll.
For all Album in database that were imported with the "old" dll, the Covers are still not displayed.

I used the "update all Albums" function, but this does not help.
Is there a way to get the albums updated or do I have to delete the Databse (how can I do this), and reimport all files?

Delete userdata/database/MyMusic7.db
