Is there a way to convert my Library to NFO files?
#1
How can i convert my library on my xbox to nfo files for each film?

I remeber once somone saying you use a 3rd party scrapper... but i do not want to go and sort all my films again, as some do not scrap correctly... and you need to do small renaming for series so trhey all group together in the correct order.. a good example of that is james bond... etc etc

Still just says

Code:
12:16:59 M: 41390080   ERROR: CVideoDatabase::ExportToXML failed

at the end.....

<------ Edit

Also I did a new one where i selected "separate" when I exported and it didn't ask me for a dir to save anything to.. just went and started

<----- Edit2

Ok the export as separate files and thumbs failed as it trys to write the files directly into teh source directories of the movie files.... i have them set to no network acess for modification... but i cna change that....

Once they are all exported I can then delete my library totaly and just rescan it.. and that will load the data form teh files on the hdrives instead of form the net..... so i can then transfer teh database from one xbox to the other or do a totaly fresh xbmc install or even transfer teh database to a pc install?

Yeah, after exporting it to a writable share you can simply re-scan all items without hitting the internet (except episodeguide for shows). In newer builds the database stuff was synced (thanks to arnova) so you are able to share it via the different platforms.

It is possible to not exporting the whole library only one movie (or series or just episode)?

I usually scrape the movie info with xbmc but always some info it misses. Or I just want to add like language info.
Now after adding a new series I have to export the whole database with all the episodes and stuff... would be nicer if I could export only what I need.

currently no, its a much welcome feature if anyone wants to cook a diff, if not its on my never-seem-to-get shorter-todo

If you choose to export you library, and but select 'do NOT overwrite existing files'... then XBMC will only export the NFO's for your new media which doesn't already have NFOs. This might be of some help.

I have over 2800 movies and 4000 tv series files... and a full export takes about 30 minutes for me (over a wifi link). Hardly painful
