does it play *.flac or os there an addon as i have one album and it does not seem to want to play all other *.mp3 works fine

The skins got nothing to do with what XBMC can play; and XBMC can play .flac files just fine.

Yep, playing files is managed by the xbmc program, whatever the skin is.

If you have troubles with some files, you'd better ask in xbmc related forums.
