The last 2 days my mac is freezing when I change the music like it plays fine the first time when i go back to library and choose another album it get stuck and freeze with an awful noise and cant even force quit have to power off directly on switch.

if i get pastebin to accept the log i will post it.

I'm getting a very similar problem. I play a movie fine, then go to play something else or play some music and XBMC freezes.

I have to ssh in and kill -9 the process.

I too have my media on SMB shares, though I wondered whether it was something to do with audio output. Sometimes I get a failed to initialise audio device error.

This problem doesn't occur with Plex, so I guess some incompatibility between XBMC and OSX?

Looks to be a threading problem. The SliceQueue has a couple of vulnerabilities that need to be patched. This would be a piece of cake if I wasn't forced to support the 'unsupported' x86_64 Smile

i really dont know why this happen everything was working ok for days and I didn't change anything just editing xml for mods here and there, this problem happen all of the sudden.

@reaven: Threading issues are all about timing. They are very difficult to track down, and can be caused by any number of very small changes in behavior.

Ok I'll get a log as soon as it happens again - I might get the chance to attempt to recreate this evening.

I've been on 10.5.7 for a while, and only went back to XBMC from Plex within the last week (due to wanting to run the minimeedia skin and use media flags). I'm also on an SVN build, and I'll leave it on the current version while I try to get a log.

yeah please I cant post my log to pastebin I always get an error even in the pastebin.ca maybe its too big.
