I have the same Problem. Live install on USB stick won't work !

Although I have never had a ROOT drive error on any of my installs, and I have used pretty much everything I can imagine to install live on. Luigi and I tested a few revs ago pretty much every way to install Live.
However - why do you guys not google ALL_GENERIC_IDE and try that in your boot line. Whenever I have a hardrive problem with linux and I know the drive is good that is what I always default to.
