I have a problem with XBMC (9.04) in Windows XP SP3. When the XBMC are in idle mode without anything running the processor idle at 10-20%. This is a lot and my silent configured Mini-ITX (Intel D945GCLF2) is getting hot.
Does anyone know if there is possible to shutdown any resources in XBMC to turn down the processor activity? I have tried to turn of the most in settings, animations etc. but nothing is helping.
When XBMC not started XP idles at 0-0.5% processor activity.
All tips are helpful
thanks

XBMC runs on a gameloop configuration, which makes it try to render the GUI at 60fps all the time. Even when it is idle that will tax your system a bit. One tip I've read about is to set the screensaver to "black". This will supposedly lower the cpu-utilization.
