In an effort to clean up my mp3 tags and remove nonsense entries to the 'comments' tag, I recently cleared that field from all of my mp3's in foobar. When I updated my music library in xbmc to reflect the changes, now the album release date is blank for all of my music. I've gone through the tags and the album date is still intact for all of them, it seems xbmc just isn't reading that field for some reason.
Any ideas?

Evidently something must be going on with foobar that causes that field to be unreadable by xbmc. While rewriting the field again in foobar doesn't fix it, rewriting the year field in Tag&Rename does.
So I guess that fixes my problem, but it's sort of a strange bug in the first place since every other program I've used can read those tags perfectly fine.

Supply a sample file on trac to allow us to reproduce it.
