ok first up, i don't think running xbmc of optical media is a particualrly good idea but- for the sake of those people who do so- would it be possible for the things that need to be written to hd, be done so to the e:\tdata\0face008 folder instead of the q:\ drive?

i'm thinking xbmc.log, and the myvideosx.db, mymusicy.db, & myprogramsz.db- and possibly playlists

also been a few people experiencing some of the skin textures going missing every so often when running off optical media- i've experienced this as well- when i've tried to recreate the problems they're talking off- i'm not really sure when it started happening- maybe when the texturing was redone?

like i say i recommend to those who experience problems to install xbmc as an app on the hd- but some people still insist on running it off media so could this be done relativley painlessly? if not forget i asked- i'll keeping pushing the the "xbmc on hd line"
