Have you downloaded a mod or updated your code as that screenshot doesn't look like anything I created? (the top menu does but the stuff at the bottom of the screen looks more like PM3 stuff?)

I havnt moded any code, nor added any mods. I am using v .92 on 3 linux computers and they all look like that when im in music. i have no access to any control menu nor other options besides the Visualization options.

Should it look/behave different?

Cheers!

Hhhmm strange screenshot, What Skunk already said.

You find your keymap.xml in xbmc/system (folder).
Open it with notebook and see all actions/buttons.

When you want to make changes do make a copy of the keymap and place it in the userdata and make the changes in that one.
And be sure you place it in the right userdata.Big Grin

Ok but what do i change? I don't get any music menu when in visualization mode.

Also, there is no keymap.xml on my system:

the keyboard.xml file has the m key listed in it (as stated in my first post) but that doesn't bring up a menu when in music. When I'm not in the visualization of the music, I can bring up the menu on the Now Playing window.

EDIT: Just as a test, i removed MiniMedia and redownloaded it and i still have this issue of no menu when in visualization mode

O'k I'm not using linux, but I see the differents.

They plit it up in linux (keymaps) or very new changes in xbmc, normally they are all together.(Keymap.xml)

What remote/keyboard do you use Confused :oo:Example keyboard.

Do open keyboard.xml and there you will see the commands and if needed you can change them.

I use a Rocketfish BT keyboard for XBMC.

so i went through the keyboard.xml file and found this:

<Visualisation>
<keyboard>
<f>FastForward</f>
<r>Rewind</r>
<period>SkipNext</period>
<comma>SkipPrevious</comma>
<return>ActivateWindow(MusicOSD)</return>
<enter>ActivateWindow(MusicOSD)</enter>
<m>ActivateWindow(MusicOSD)</m>
<i>Info</i>
<p>ActivateWindow(VisualisationPresetList)</p>
<v>ActivateWindow(VisualisationSettings)</v>
<n>ActivateWindow(MusicPlaylist)</n>
<left>SkipPrevious</left>
<right>SkipNext</right>
<up>IncreaseRating</up>
<down>DecreaseRating</down> <!--<back>NextPreset</back>!-->
<o>CodecInfo</o>
<l>LockPreset</l>
<escape>FullScreen</escape>
</keyboard>
</Visualisation>

so m is set to ActivateWindow(MusicOSD) and in the global it is set to ActivateWindow(PlayerControls). I have never seen the music OSD, only what i have shown u in the screenshot. So back to the original question....where is the music OSDConfused

Music OSD is what you see on top in your screenshot. !!

And when music playing and your in home then you will see Playercontrols with the menu button.

well thats silly (no offence). There is no pause, ff, rewind and more importantly there isnt any record button for shoutcast streams. The player controls should be on the Visualization screen as well as the other screens. Its silly to make me back out to access those controls.

Just my 2 cents

and thanks for the answer....least i know its not broken

Cheers!

You can have playercontrols in visualization.
Do change your keymap, you have 3 buttons that opens music OSD change one of them to ActivateWindow(PlayerControls) or make a new button whatever....

I see that during playing a video the clock is often truncated and has ... in it

liked 10:03.. instead of 10:03 PM. This is only happens when its 2 digit hours.

Thanks

when i download v0.92 and unrar it, there is the MiniMeedia folder and two more folders outside of this, called backgrounds and weather. I have placed MiniMeedia into the skin folder like the default skins that come with xbmc, but where do I place the other two folders, background and weather?

thnx in advance!

I'm guessing you are using one of the larger fonts? If so then this has already been resolved and will be in the next release.

I don't think any of the releases I put together have backgrounds or weather folders in the same zip as the skin, have you downloaded one of the mods?

There are separate downloads for weather fanart and background images and you can place them wherever you like and you then need to update the skin settings to point to them.

hi skunk, I wanted to ask, is is possible having an optional toggle for plot summary for High List movies view (like TVshow has) For movies, currently only Poster view does have it optional, but navigating through it is much slower than it would be with list. Thanks!
