I will try this now and report back. I have to ask though....Why is this suddenly an issue when it never was until a few weeks ago?

Ok...Updated to the latest audio and video drivers for my system and it still crashes. Anyone else have any ideas? Is there really nobody else having this issue??

You aren't, by any chance, running on a Vista system that is synching playback to display, are you? I can't imagine that would be the problem, but tossing ideas out there is always fun.

Nope, I'm running Windows XP SP3 and not syncing to the display. I don't know if it is related, but i just played an ISO, paused it for about 10 minutes, and when I came back XBMC had crashed.
