How can I view password protected NSV media stream?
#1
Hello, I'm new here so dont flame me ...........

I can't for the life of me work out how to view password protected NSV ( h264, aac ) streaming media files through XBMC....

Cut a long story short, I am watching some sporting events using winamp and it works flawlessly, but I would like it work in the media center.

I would greatly appreciate if anyone can give me some help.

Cheers

If you can call it in a URL manner - f.e. http://example.com/stream.nsv
you could use the standardized user/password part as well:
http://<user>:<password>@example.com/stream.nsv
Always read the XBMC online-manual, FAQ and search the forum before posting.

actually that won't help.. the nsv file is likely encrypted.. we don't support decrypting them.

We du support password protected http servers as mentioned above. But i suspect that is not what you are asking.
