I am thinking of using Apple TV as an extender. It seems like this is working pretty well with Windows XP (which is my media center). I was wondering how hard it is for the novice computer user to set up and use? I have read the wiki and I haven't done anything like this. I don't want to get it and then screw everything up with my inexperience. Also I use my iPhone to control my iTunes and I have heard many people use it for Apple TV. Does anyone know if it works well with XBMC?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Almost forgot, I am looking to use Aeon Auriga with this. Is it hard to update XBMC and Aeon when new versions come out?
