Unable to set default video scaling method
#1
Sad
Hi,

i have a problem with the video scaling method. The standard is set to nearest neighbour which causes the video to stutter and get out of audio sync.
Setting it to bicubic works fixes that but the "Set as default for all movies" doesn't work for me. I set the bicubic, click on set default, confirm that I'm sure and when I play the next video (or even the same one after stopping it), the scaling method is once again set to nearest neighbour.

Is there any other way to make it permanent? Some entry in a configuration file? Or where is the new default setting being saved to?

Thanks
Greg

Please post full debug log ..
The normal XBMC log IS NOT a debug log, to enable debug logging you must toggle it on under XBMC Settings - System or in advancedsettings.xml. Use XBMC Debug Log Addon to retrieve it.

I actually didn't think it's something new

Here's the log file: http://pastebin.com/f74ca52a

I've changed the scaling method twise during the log, both times setting it to default after the change.

I think this was fixed AFTER the version you are using. Try a nightly version.

Your build is : Built on May 26 2009 (SVN:20672

Some work was done in 20708.

This issue has been discussed in afew different threads...

http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid...+upscaling

To summarize it, make certain you have software upscaling disabled under settings if you want to use hardware upscaling which you are trying to do.
