hey all,
yesterday i started building an htpc on a gentoo base. i'm using this hardware:
- 46" sharp full hd lcd tv
- point of view ion 230 (connected via hdmi)
when it comes to set the display resolution for the framebuffer i use the foillowing kernelparameter in grub:
so far uvesafb is using the 1080p resolution in the console/framebuffer. but it also produces a black border (margin) around the console.
is there a way to avoid the underscan? i doublechecked the settings of my tv to be sure it is set to the pixel2pixel setting.
as far as i can remember the xbmc live distro doesn't show this issue!? if yes, how is it solved there?
cheers,
einhänder
