I just wanna know if anybody have any experience with this chip playing 1080p bluray rip.
I just bought that along with ASUS M3N78-EM and 4 gig ram. Will be running vista x64.
AMD Athlon X2 7850 Black Edition Kuma 2.8GHz good for 1080p bluray rip?

The rule of thumb for 1080p on the processor is 3.0ghz.
That said, you should be able to overclock that sucker no problem. |

If you primarily use 1080p x264 scene releases, then the 3.0ghz is not necessary. You only have to move up to 3.0ghz if you are using BD disc images.
I have an E5200, running at stock speed. and I have no problems with 1080p content. I'm fairly certain that AMD chip with churn through 1080p with no issues. |
