Thanks for the details. This fixed the issue for me as well. It looks like the original blog post is down with a database connection error, so I've posted a copy of the .asoundrc file and the details on how to apply it on my blog.

I have the same problem, but I´m not using HDMI for audio output. I use optical output. How should I change the asoundrc.txt commands, as this guide doesn´t fix the problem?
