Hi,

sorry for this potential 'dumb' question, but how does the process look like for 'backporting' boxee features into xbmc main code?

As an example, boxee has this very cool ability to add subtitles, fetched from the internet, while playing a video.

If this is already possible with xbmc, then I am more 'dumb' then I thought... ;-)

Sure it's possible, just add a button to the skin and link that either to a skin or plugin written to download subtitle based on the name of the movie playing.
That is exactly how it's done in boxee.

if I extract boxee subtitle script and link it to a button on a skin, do you think that will work?

are boxee scripts and plugins compatible with XBMC?
