could you please try with an empty database?
To do this, close XBMC, go to your .xbmc/userdata directory and
mv Database Database_old

start XBMC.
Issue still there?

Thanks,
Patrick

just tried, no luck, with 21923 build.

I have the same exact problem described, and I think I narrowed it down to the log writing code in xbmc/utils/log.cpp. The problem went away when I copied log.cpp and log.h from the 9.04.1 source and recompiled. This is the first time I've looked at the xbmc source, so I don't really know enough about it to figure out the exact problem. I'm guessing it has something to do with the changes made in revision 21896 - "changed: make use of our virtual file system for CLog instead of native OS functions."

You are correct, nice work! =)

A simple fix is to set loglevel to -1 in advancedsettings.xml.

Just update to newest svn and test for a few minutes.
I think it should be fixed.

Thanks, XBMC devs

Please test with a build > r21927.
It should be fixed there.
