I absolutely love this software ...the best of its kind i have ever used

But I got same problem as Tolriq on my system
Windows 7 RC 1 german updated.
C2D E8500
4 GB RAM
XFX GeForce 9300 / nForce 730i Driver Version 185.85
no optical Drive but 24in1-multicardreader
XBMC in portable Mode
since rev21914 all newer svns builds incl. latest, rev21930, of xbmc crash on startup.
I´ve activated debug log and installed rev 20930.

With Mediastream set as Skin the following error messages are written in xbmc.log

@Tolriq: have you tried Rev21908? It´s latest working on my system expect crashing on homescreen when selecting "music".
