Updated to the latest SVN and my problems are gone.
I get sound, doesn't crash after a few seconds and bit rate, channels and other info is now correctly reported.
WMV with WMAPro and VC1
I'll be thinking of spiff later... :p

Trex, your WMV files play now? All of them? I saw no improvement at all.

I only have around 2. Both of them are WMAPro encoded with VC1.

Ahh, OK. So then WMAPro audio is fixed with the FFMPEG update, but WMV definitely isn't.

HI!
Sorry for perhaps dumb question...
Compiled two days ago and I have now problems playing VC-1 coded HD-Films (BD-rips). For example Iron Man or X-Men.
h264 is no problem.
Do I have the same problem like you all?
Regards,
Patrick

I believe VC-1 is actually supposed to work, unlike WMV. They're very similar, but VC-1 and WMV are slightly different; VC-1 uses the advanced profile and WMV is simple/main profile. That's my understanding, anyway. It can be somewhat confusing.
After looking it up, simple/main video files (basically WMVs) are valid VC-1 targets as well, so there's definite overlap. My guess would be that simple/main is broken and advanced works.

Thanks rodalpho!
Could you (or someone else) please test a BD-rip in VC-1 (like I said Iron Man or X-Men (1/2/3) i.e.) to confirm that VC-1 playback is ok or broken.
Thanks, Patrick

WMVs haven't worked "fine" for well over an entire year.
