Thanks for this. Really, an heartfelt thank you. I am on vacation right now and can't test it. But the idea is great and it helps in making me want to give Aeon a shot (before I was kind of terrorized my all the different versions and mods).

for Windows 7 64 bit I had to set a line to
set XBMCFOLDER="C:\Program Files (x86)\XBMC\skin" that's if you install xbmc in portable mode.. |

Thank's for this a great piece of software, a lot easier to use than the official github software.

logictester Wrote:i don't think you supposed to run it from within xbmc or am i wrong? Correct, at the moment, this is meant to be run from a cmdline or terminal or scheduler/crontab. That said, I'm sure someone can add an option to a skin/etc to trigger this script as an external application.. Although, one problem is if you are using the skin that it is updating.. sort of like XBMC trying to run XBMC update.. |

Hi, this is not working for me
![]() I have a brand new XBMC install and edited the .bat file as per the instructions in the readme, pointing to the proper dir etc. When I clicked one of the Aeon themes though (showmix) it "partially" loads but most things are missing from the screen... No writing on the menus or anything like that. Navigating up and down shows movement but there clearly is the bulk of the menu missing... the sounds seem to be working fine.. And the worst part is, now when I re-load XBMC, I can't even navigate around to go back to the old theme because I can't read anything! Please help! Edit: Looking in the XBMC log file there is tons of this: Code: 05:38:10 T:2096 M:3547443200 NOTICE: DONE initializing playlistplayerAnd looking in the media/Fonts/ dir there is only a single file... Arial.ttf Not sure what the heck is going on..

locust Wrote:Hi, this is not working for me Well, the fonts should be in <path-to-skin-folder-in-xbmc>\Aeon Showmix\font Is it there? If not, can you copy the fonts from the ASMupdate into that folder and launch XBMC again? |

great initiative dude!
realy nice to update these skins with one click. 1 small issue: The font folder for Aeon Showmix is being copied to the wrong folder. (..\XBMC\skin\skin\Aeon Showmix\fonts). the xcopy rule is wrong, got a \skin to much ![]() @locust look at your skin folder, you should find another skin folder in there. copy the content of that folder to your first skin folder and you should be ok!
