Hi Guys,

I was just thinking how useful it would be to have tagging of posts like I've seen on some other forums.
Basically when a new post is created in the 'Support' sub forum it automatically gets an [Open] tag at the front of the title.
Then when the question is answered the OP or a Mod has the option to mark the post as Answered/Solved and the Tag at the front of the title get changed (or an icon changes to display the state)

I think this would be quite useful in the XBMC forums since there are always so many questions, if you looking to give answers you spend half your time reading through posts to see they are already resolved.
Or if your looking for answers you can spend your time reading unanswered questions relating to your problem.. you get the idea Wink

We have been thinking about it. I have the plugin for marking threads as solved on my harddrive.

Always read the XBMC online-manual, FAQ and search the forum before posting.
Do not e-mail XBMC-Team members directly asking for support. Read/follow the forum rules.
If you don't have the time to read them, please don't take the time to post in this forum!
For troubleshooting and bug reporting please make sure you read this first.

It could be as easy as having users edit their post titles after solving their issues.

+1 After 3 years Tongue

Since we have seperate support sections. This feature can be applied to those sections.
Why is it good to be able to mark issues with open/solved?
- Search for open issues -> help people faster
- Ignore new posts for solved threads -> so that solved threads do not get on to the first page when they are solved
- Let admins put it on solved/ignored, if it is a bad post, off topic, wrong thread.
- If you solve an issue (mark answer as solved) -> could rep +1 for best answer.
