Problem with autoupdate library
#1
I recently set up a mates with a media center box with XBMC on it and theres a really weird problem, every time i go to scan for content it stops and never finishes, the screen goes black and flickers then ends up at the main menu.
And when i put the autoupdate library on startup it never makes it to the main menu and seems to get stuck in some sort of loop with the screen flickering black.

I've never had that before.

Any ideas?

Not without any more info - you need to post a debug log.

OK
Skin: Mediasteam v1.00
Platform: XBMC Live 9.04.1
CPU: Intel 2.66ghz Quad
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-EP45-DS3R
Video Card: MSI NX8600
using NVIDIA 185.18.14 driver

The easiest way to get this problem to happen is if i scan for new content in the video menu. It scans then before finishing crashes back to the main menu

Heres my xbmc.log

You didn't scan anything in that log.

Try the xbmc.old.log file and see if that has the details.

i suspect you're bitten by an old mymovies.xml parsing bug. try removing /media/drive1/Movies/BBCDVD10892/mymovies.xml

sweet i think that fixed the problem.

Thats wierd how one mymovies.xml could make it do that
