I just updated my live install (used live cd to install to hard drive, then followed guide here: http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=54350 to update to 21936....
well tonight i just ran the updater again to go to 22290, and everything went fine. However now when i start my system up, I go to play a movie, and it is like fast forwarding 4x or so, no audio. Error rate says 5000% droped frames go up to like 1000 in the first 30 seconds or so and continue to go up, and i can't figure out whats going on. It sometimes will say failed to initialize audio hardware, check your settings, but my output is set to PLUG:HDMI, which is what it was set to on 21936 when it worked. I tried changeing back to hdmi, but no luck.
In addition, playback speed is 60+ fps and I've tried searching. please provide clear instructions to do anything, as I am pretty new to linux and don't knw that much.
heres my XBMC.log file http://pastebin.com/m64774647
edit: it appears my tv shows are fine, and on further analysis, some movies play fine. I've narrowed it down to anything with DTS encoding has no audio, and plays 4x speed. If i put on something with regular DD encoding, it plays fine, and i get some audio, although it seems like it's only 2 channel heres a clip from updated log...if i can figure out how to take a screenshot i'll post that too.http://pastebin.com/m6c8b048b
