...and the other 22278 .debs somewhere like rapidshare or etc? the xbmc=version syntax mentioned above appears to not work with the PPA archive, or I'm doing it wrong. Unfortunately, I don't have any old/good copy to revert to, in /var/cache/apt/archives/, because I just installed the PPA and patched directly to 22290.

sure could use a copy of 22278.. Smile

MrDVD, thank you very much for the lesson in apt-get. I was looking for this a few weeks ago without any luck. Guess I didn't feed google the correct key words. It is really hard to find information like this. (new to linux)

somewhere between ikons builds 22119 and 22312 dts decoding is producing silence.

the codec info panel states dca, as it should, but the UI language select says 5.1 - AC3!

svn 22326 - http://pastebin.com/m5be66f8 - SILENCE!
svn 22312 - http://pastebin.com/m1e092670 - SILENCE!
svn 22119 - http://pastebin.com/m4b44f7b6 - WORKS!

no configs/hardware/other software changed in between.

I wonder if 22346 could have something to do with this...

Hi!

Having some troubles with the new build.

Passthrough of DD / DTS doesn't seem to be working for me. When playing DTS the screen says something like "cannot initialize", sorry forgot the rest. When playing DD it is not properly passed, my receiver doesn't recognize it as DD and reverts into a 'mixed mode'. Dialog audio is missing, basically only ambient movie sound comes through.

I reverted to 22240, and everything works as before. Receiver recognize DTS and DD being passed, sound is great and no errors. The receiver can handle DTS, DD and LPCM formats (and more, i guess?).

I use HDMI (alsa 1.0.18), below is aplay info:

Two xbmc.log's - 22348 and 22240.
22348: http://pastebin.com/m44b262b9
22240: http://pastebin.com/m54c852ac

I'll stick to 22240 for now. Thanks for listening.. Smile

MrDVD Wrote:Hallo, i wrote also that you can change the output @ ppa when you change the status pulldown. Select "Any Status" and you see all svn Versions and not only the last one.

Aha! Thank you very much!

ALSO BIG THANKS TO THE PPL WHO TOOK THE TIME TO UP TO RAPIDSHARE. EVEN THOUGH IT WASN'T ULTIMATELY NECESSARY, YOU WARM THE HEART OF AN XBMC USER WITH YOUR GENEROSITY!!!!

Thanks for the tips about dpkg, it's a shame that apt-get install xbmc=[version] does not work (at least for me and others here). A quick question, now that I've downgraded via dpkg, once this bug is fixed can I still upgrade via apt-get?
