Older builds available anywhere?
#1
I am using a newish build from the other night for OSX and have just found out that 720 films play at twice the speed and audio hardware cannot be initialised.

Are previous builds stored anywhere, I really want to watch a film!

I'm in the same boat… Does anyone have a recent, working Mac build available?

Edit: I found that "TheQuestor" over att http://www.sshcs.com/xbmc/ actually has the older builds available. Copy the following and replace the "XXXXX" part with a know build number; paste it into your address bar to download.

Code:
http://www.sshcs.com/xbmc/inc/EVA.asp?mode=NDLC&FN=OSX&BN=XXXXX

You can get a list of builds here: http://www.sshcs.com/xbmc/inc/eva.asp?mode=Notes

I was going to link that site... its the 'unofficial' nightly-build site for XBMC the people running it compile (what I'm guessing is) the brandy-newest versions in Mac, Linux and Windows flavors.

The day I actually found them they didn't have the OS X version of the nightly build and I was so bummed... the next day the Mac version was back but after the fact I noticed:

This link: http://www.sshcs.com/xbmc/inc/EVA.asp?mode=BO

That was found NOT via the download page but instead at the bottom of the nightly release notes page. Had I seen that I could have simply downloaded the last Mac version that was availble... Instead of waiting till the latest mac version was compiling once again.

No harm/no foul and the site is a TREMENDOUS resource so please don't think this post is bashing it... I'm not, not at all... Just pointing out that as a noob finding out where do download 'the night BEFORE last (or the build from last week)' isn't as clear as it could have been...

Cheers!

Good to know good to know..

Didn't think about going backwards.. and maybe thats the reason why the link isn't so bold on the normal nightly download page. I was in the position where the only version I had was the 'released' version downloadable via the xbmc home page... so when I went searching for a nightly build any build would have been newer... lol

Wow, I totally missed that link – good catch! Smile

The site is indeed a fantastic resource, but navigation/UI-wise, it definitely leaves something to be desired.
