Ive got the movies working great, that was easy. Its my shows and music that has be stumped. I have a few basic questions that Ive asked before but I hope someone can help me this time around.

1. MIP loads my TV posters and background fan art but not season posters or episode thumbnails. Why not?

2. I cant figure out how to load in my album art. Someone said it can be done from iTunes but I dont see how. The album art database must be crap because I cant find hardly any album covers.

What way can I do this other then manually adding folder.jpg into each album?

for a show that is not loading season or episode thumbnails, please upload (rapidshare or similar) the show information zip file.

C:\Program Files\mediainfoplus\temp\tvdb\everything\ %showid%
where %showid% is the tvdb id for the show (this can be found by locating the show on the tvdb website).

short answer: the xml from the tvdb is invalid, thus mip can't load them

the music data comes from multiple locations, freecovers.net as well as HT Backdrops .. in addition it can extract that album art from the music file and it'll look in the same location for the image that the music is stored in.

I haven't heard of any issues with it not working correctly lately, but what you can do is check on freecovers.net and see if the album is up there. If it is and mip isn't getting it, something must have changed, please report back what you find out.

As far as the album art...
freecovers.net does not have the covers Im looking for. Itunes however has a way more extensive DB with covers. Is there any way I can pull from them?

2 examples is fine (i.e. 2 zip files)

there's not a parser for itunes, i do remember someone posting some info on how they used that data, i'd search in the MIP thread for additional info on that.

can you pastebin your config.xml .. the archives are fine (no xml errors) so it must be a config setting that is either missing or 0

For a future request, it would be cool if when you were looking at your albums in MIP if it told you if you were missing a song similar to when browsing TV show episodes. I use a music converter to go from mp3 to m4a and sometimes a file or 2 gets lost. Its annoying to not have complete albums

there's a new build in the main mip thread that hopefully will fix the tv show issue.

i don't think i'll be adding any new features to mip, UMx is under active development and is way better then mip could be. Please add a feature request to UMx on sourceforge for the music

I am actually one of the dev's working on the new Unified Media Manager, for now we are calling it UMx, until we sort out the name of it.. I'll have to recommend that one .. there is still alot to do on it before a release, but it's coming along and will be kick ass.

Ok well the season thumbnails are showing for the tv show I tested. Where does it save the thumbs at? Its not in with the other show information (.tbn and .nfos)

Is UMx going to do movie, tv AND music? That freecovers site sucks for album art.
