Apple TV with xmbc NOW I NEED DROPBOX
#1
Ok so I have XMBC on a AppleTV, work great.
I want to use XMBC as a Kiosk (creating signage with a LCD)

I want my users to be able to simply move pics and videos to the apple tv without using itunes or having to SSH.

I'd like to install Dropbox on the Apple TV. I'd then either want to make the Dropbox folder point inside an image directory or just point XMBC to the dropbox folder.

I've seen lots of info on this for the macmini not the appletv.

I'm sure there's got to be someinfo on this somewhere.

thanks in advance

If Boxee can find the videos, XBMC for Appletv should as well, since theyre built on the same code. Im gonna move this thread over to the Apple forum in the hope that someone there might have an idea.

I love the "google it" garbage... Do you think that isn't done first. I didn't ask for a stupid response. (I never understand why some forums have to be full of sarcasm)

I wanted to more natively install dropbox on the appletv itself. Seems like it's something that could be done.

For now I'm pointing boxee to a folder on the network. The folder is inside my dropbox folder allowing it to view. It just takes time to grab all the images for a slide show.

I'm just starting to look into the drop.io app in the repos. That may do the trick for me.

Ok, old thread, in case someone reading this....
I got Dropbox installed on my AppleTV (Linux) myself.

It should be possible to install on original OS as well, have a look at
