can i ask what the option -p does. When i run xbmc with the -p option i cannot use see xmbc via logmein but when i take the option out i can! albiet a very small xmbc but good enough to make changes from work etc....

It means its portable. So with the -p your userdata will be in C:\Program Files\XBMC\userdata. Without the -p is will be in C:\Documents and Settings\login_name\Application Data\xbmc
