Does XBMC support several subtitle languages?
#1
Hi

I was wondering if XBMC supports several languages for .avi files and such? I mean, would it be possible to keep 2 subtitle files for instance english and danish and then be able to switch between them in the menu and during playback?
If so, how would be the correct way of naming the files?

Thanks in advance :-)

PS. I've tried searching, but I'm still unsure which subtilte formats that are supported? Normally I use .srt, but I found theres also .sub and .idx, are all those supported and if so, which is the best format, does one offer more options than the others?

Just name your subtile-files like your movie and place them in the same folder, eg.

moviename.avi
moviename_english.srt
moviename_danish.srt

When playing back the movie, xbmc should display the first subtile, although I'm not sure how it decide what the actual first subtitle-track is, maybe alphabetical..

In fullscreen mode you can choose the subtitles in the audio-menu.
