[linux] cheap remote receiver usb lirc

hi

i want to use xbmc on linux and a remote. problem is that i can not buy usb uirt anywhere in Poland and even if i buy it in Germany it is expencive. any idea witch one to use ? i have a friend who can solder and asemble one. it ust be on usb. it would be verry nice if this receiver would work with any infrared remotes .windows( i have a buch of them in my home and buying another one doesn't make sence).
