Hello,
Haven't seen this answered anywhere. There were a couple of similar questions, sorry if I missed it.
Running XBMC on Apple TV and trying to add my Vista PC as a source. I ran the update this morning so I assume I am on the latest version.
I followed the instructions in the wiki:
http://wiki.xbmc.org/?title=Windows_File...SAMBA/CIFS)
I have tried both password and non password protected shares. When I try to add a Windows SMB as a source I get an error 2: no share available
I tried manually adding the server and the server + share : i.e. //mediapc/tv shows
and get "access refused."
It's late, so I apologize if the error messages are not exact.
The shares are accessible from another Vista PC. I've checked the network connection settings on XBMC and appear to have internet connectivity, workgroup name is correct..
I'm at a loss. It seems like it should work.
Any guidance would be appreciated.
Thanks
Marc
