[LIVE] Problem with DIVX (non DVXA) content playback
#1
Hi guys,

New issue here I'm not sure if its because of the recent upgrade I made to the XBMC or not but before I didn't have this problem.

Once I start my XBMC and I try to play a divx movie (I think it is related to being not DVXA since 1 MKV also had this problem) the movie plays ver slowly this makes the video being out of sync with the image.

If I press O to see how my system is behaving I see that CPU0 (GPU I think) is running over stress 70 to 80% load. I have no explanation for this specially because if I exit the video and play it back again from the beginning problem is gone no out of sync and processing is back to normal.

From then on every divx I play is fine. Resuming it is only the first time a divx or non-dvxa video is played. After that everything is fine.

I've been playing with my system xorg.conf but nothing seems to work. Initially I was thinking it might be the disabling composite option but its not.

Anyone has or had this problem? Suggestions?

Thanks in advance I will really appreciate any help and/or support

ye i mean vdpau sorry Smile what i meant is GPU acceleration

but still it is not related with GPU acceleration videos only with non-compatible ones i would say. I'm not sure about the only MKV video that has this problem but im almost sure he is also not compatible with GPU acceleration.

Any solutions?

Guess I'm the only one with this problem and no one is going to help me out.

It's impossible to see movies which have 2 files because on the second part the problem occurs the only way to fix it is to watch it from the videos section and and switch to the second part manually when the first is over

Also this problem occurs with ISO DVDs I have only 3 or 4 of those but I cannot see them and I know they have good quality because I saw them before in a DVD player.

Don't tell me I have to format this again?

Well, you could always read the stickys and post a debug log so people have got something to work with - unless it's a very well known problem (which it doesn't seem to be or you'd already have a reply or would have found doing a search) a debug log is the way to go.
